How do you make fish oil attractants? Dip bait and oils.?

Working on making a fish oil attactant for marketing later. Also would like details on preserving the attractant as well.
Emphasis will be on catfish and trout.
The purpose is the make an attractant to add to fishing bait used for catfish and trout. Examples is like dip bait for catfish and fishing oil attractants added to lures, plastic bait, and even live bait(worms.) I know there are different methods and equipment used for such a thing. I am also interested in how to keep it preserved to have a long shelf life.

You’ve not really given any specifics on what kind of attractant you’re talking about. Generic fish oil used for attacting wild animals is made by chopping up a bunch of fish, putting it in gallon jugs, cover the top with cheese cloth over the mout to keep the flies out, put the lid on loosely to let gases escape……then let it stew for a couple of months so the fish will rott completely. At that point strain any solids out and what remains is fish oil. But it’s much easier to go in ebay and buy it from a bait/lure company.

The above recipe will do the trick. No preservatives needed…..it’s already smelly, oily, rotted down product.
